Great question! These candles are made from sturdy resin and are solar powered- specifically designed to be in sun all day every day without melting. In fact, they need about 8 hours of direct sun to get fully charged- so we recommend as much exposure to sunlight as possible!

They need maximum sunlight for best results so it might not stay on for a longer period of time during winter or cloudy days.

How long will the chargeable battery last?

Most rechargable batteries will need to be changed in one to two years- it depends on the weather your part of the country has. If you mean how long the charge will last- that depends on how much sun the candle gets. It'll perform better on sunny days than overcast days and better in the summer than in the winter for example. A full charge will result in about 4-6 hours of light.

Can you use them inside? Charge in a window?

The candle needs 6-8 hours of direct sunlight to fully charge. If it's placed inside near a window it may not get enough sunlight to charge and the light could be dull or won't stay lit up too long. These items work best outside.

Could you put them inside say glass?

These would work well in a glass lantern- but keep in mind that they need a lot of direct sun to fully charge. It wouldn't be a good idea to put them in a lantern with a sold metal roof or inside by a window.

These outdoor candles are weather-resistant and designed out be outside all year. They should not be placed underwater or anywhere that doesn't drain well.

Do they come with a remote?

No, these solar-powered candles do not come with a remote. They do however contain a dawn-to-dusk sensor that enables the candles to light up as the sun begins to set.
