Frequently Asked Questions

Can I leave this lantern outside through changing weather?

Yes, its IP44 rating and waterproof construction make it suitable for outdoor use in exposed everyday conditions. We recommend placing it where the solar panel can receive daylight, so the rechargeable battery can power the warm, flickering glow after dusk. For placement, follow the fixture’s outdoor rating.

Will the candlelight come on by itself in the evening?

Yes, the automatic dusk-to-dawn sensor turns the lantern on as daylight fades, then off again at dawn. Its warm white 2800K light and flickering infinity wick create a candlelike effect without an open flame. We recommend positioning it for reliable daylight exposure; see the sensor details before placing it.

Does this lantern need to be plugged in, or can it recharge outdoors?

It recharges through its solar power source, so no plug-in connection is needed for normal use. The included 1.2-volt AA Ni-MH battery stores that energy for the lantern’s evening operation. We recommend allowing the panel regular daylight exposure, and checking the battery details when planning placement.
