this turned out to be the perfect choice for just above my sink in the kitchen. I wanted something simple to show off a fancy bulb, but i need it to have a really short cord since I would be standing and I didn't want the bulb in my face when I'm doing the dishes. You can make the cord as short as you need to. The gold and black is a nice contrast and I love it with the hand blown bulb i picked up at an art market in December.
