Lantern Accent Wall with Kismet House

November 13, 2017

Erin Conway, creative mind of Kismet House and soon-to-be mama of two, put together a spectacular holiday wall that we would  be remiss not to share.

Armed with eight lanterns, flameless candles, and strands of fairy lights, Erin transformed her living room into an enchanting Christmas haven.

Erin affixed the lanterns with  simple” L” brackets, available at any local hardware store. She cleverly painted them to match the wall, giving the illusion that the hanging lanterns are floating.

To achieve that aforementioned glow, she thoughtfully added a flameless candles - each illuminated by a daily timer - to each lantern. Nightly glow, no ladder. Genius.

Erin went one step further. To complement the arrangement, she intertwined fairy lights with fir garland, draping them over the fireplace and suspending them along an opposite wall.

As a finishing touch, she arranged pillar candles among yuletide logs in her fireplace. (How great is that paint color?)

No doubt - Erin wins the most creative holiday decor award.  From dynamic wall installations to magical fireplace tableaus, she’s given us inspiration for the winter season and beyond.
