Can the glass shades be removed from the fixture permanently?

Yes, you can not add the shades and just install the bulbs.

How many lumens should the bulb be?

350 lumens is bright enough in most situations but that can depend on the location of the fixture and the size of the room. Brighter bulbs are available at any hardware store and it's super easy to swap them out. When choosing a different bulb get one with a higher lumen count for brightness. Just note that it should be E12 bulbs that do not exceed 40 watts.

Do you sell this in a smaller version? I really like this but I need something smaller to fit above our breakfast nook.

Will this work on a sloped ceiling?

Yes, It has a sloped ceiling adapter and would work beautifully on sloped ceilings.

Does it come with light bulbs?

Bulbs are sold separately from the chandelier. Any candelabra bulb with an E12 socket that uses less than 40w would work fine but we particularly like this light.
