I don't know what the earlier review is talking about. These are real glass. If you've never seen tempered glass before, maybe you wouldn't know. I have a few products made with this kind of glass from other manufacturers. I took one star off because there are is an imperfection like a long scratch? in the mercury finish on the largest one.

I was looking for "glass" trees to light up my mantle for Christmas and decided to order these. They are really beautiful, however, they are not real glass. It's ok, they look like they are and obviously won't break as easily as if they were glass. I'm also keeping them on the mantle until well after the holidays.
