This fixture takes a max 60W, E26 (medium) bulb, so if you choose a brighter LED bulb, 800 Lumens or more, this can certainly work for task lighting! We would recommend and LED bulb to save on energy. Please note the Aria fixtures do not come with an included bulb.

I just want to confirm whether the satin brass version of this light is damp rated

Thanks for your question! The Satin Brass finish on Aria is Dry rated. Only the Black finishes are Damp-rated. Hope that helps!

Any E26 (medium) base bulb, up to 60W max, will work for the Aria Pendant. We recommend an Edison style bulb to show off through the clear glass, like our Midwood LED Vintage bulb , for a warm cozy glow.

Hi, and Yes! The Aria collection in matte black finish can be used indoors or in covered outdoor spaces, like a front porch or covered veranda.

Is there a bulb included?

No, you have to purchase them separately.

Is the bottom open is where you would insert the bulb. I'd prefer it to be closed I don't want the light bulb visible. I look forward to a response. Regards Ckmarchant

This fixture has an opening at the bottom of the glass. if you'd like a fixture with a completely closed shade we suggest the Castell series pendants.
