This quintessential, radial fixture is our homage to the late, great Gino Sarfatti, Italian designer and pioneer of the mid-century modern movement. The Sputnik is the embodiment of Sarfatti’s design principles as they apply to lighting - practical, yet beautiful and always multi-directional. Ours features the classic in a flush mount silhouette with twelve slender arms radiating from a central orb in a versatile, pewter finish. Suspend in a bedroom or the center of a living room to add dimension, texture, and a little bit of history to your home.

We purchased this light for our front room where we keep our piano, and it adds such a funky detail to that otherwise boring room! We have it on a dimmer, and it adds a very nice warm light that catches people’s eye. Easy to install, lightweight, we’re happy!

I live in Canada, and drove across the border to pick up this brass light fixture, and save on costs. I must say, I'm thinking about buying this light in different finishes now for other areas of my home. I absolutely LOVE waking up every morning, and seeing this beautiful fixture on my bedroom ceiling. It's very well made, perfect for a lower ceiling, and the brass tone is exactly as shown in the picture. Customer service from Lights.com was excellent as well. I will most definitely be buying from them again.

This fixture looks great in our library, and was a super easy install. We love it!
(Although the dimensions are given in the listing, I had imagined the center base being larger — it would be helpful to see something pictured with the fixture to give it a sense of scale.)

- Can this be flush mounted to a slanted ceiling?The 12- Light Sputnik comes with a sloped ceiling adaptor that works with most ceilings. If your ceiling is at a stronger angle, send us an email with the measurements and we'll help to make sure the fixture will work with your home.
- Can this be mounted on a wall as a sconce?
- Is the brass color dimmable as well?

- Can this be mounted in bathroom?
- Can this be placed outdoors in a covered area?The Sputnik is rated as "damp located," so we would recommend keeping it indoors. We're not sure how the finish would look after being exposed to the elements. There have been some people who have successfully installed them in in covered patios after some modifications (just note modifications void the warranty).
