Lights.com—Tradeshow Lighting

People often take something as simple as lighting for granted. It's easy for lighting to get overlooked when thinking about a tradeshow display design. But lighting is really very important to all displays. Lighting can help make a statement, it can lead the eye in an intended direction, it can help prevent accidents, and it can help set the mood.

Lighting Options
The good thing about tradeshows today is that there are many lighting options for exhibitors to choose from. Tradeshow producers provide basic room lighting free of charge, but most exhibitors don't find this sufficient. The larger shows with rental options will have lamps and other light sources available to rent. Another option is to buy your own lamp and bring it with you from show to show. A final option is to make lighting a part of your display.

Tradeshow lighting mechanisms that are built into or affixed to your display are the best approach. Why? One reason is because it is logistically easier to manage if your light sources are connected to your display. That's one less thing for you to ship, haul around, or worry about leaving behind.

Another reason built-in lighting is great is because it accents your display in all the right places. Typically, lights are built into a design either in front of or just above a place for signage. This is so that the light can call out the brand or message that is on display. You want your potential customers to remember your brand--help them remember it by lighting it in an easy-to-read manner.
