Hiding Electrical Cords on Architectural Lighting
In order to achieve a stylish lighting in your home, it helps to hide the electrical cords. The optimal way for cords to be hidden in architectural lighting would be to hire a licensed electrician to hardwire lights with a recessed outlet. Outlets may be added and the cords concealed with PVC cord cover which can be painted or stained to match the walls or woodwork in the room.
You may also use cord covers to run the light cord to the nearest outlet provided the cord will reach. Popular self-adhesive backing make cord covers easy to install. Cord covers are available at your local home improvement and hardware stores.
You can also place furniture or home furnishings in front of cords to help hide them. Make sure all of your lights are UL/CUL listed. Also, be sure to follow all standard electrical and safety guidelines. If you are unsure of something, consult a licensed electrician.
